My favorite book is Vampire Academy, by Richelle Mead. There are many reasons why I like it, and there are reasons why other people all over the world, even Japan, like the book. For one even though it's a vampire book the characters have real life qualities, and they deal with some of the stuff any person would. And who doesn't like a good adventure book that is made for young readers?
At the beginning of the book it's pretty boring, because she's explaining who she is. But once you get about two chapters into the book, it sort of compels you to read more and more. I should know, I stayed up until four in the morning, and got up at 6:00 o'clock A.M. and read more! And then Rose, the main character, sort of relates to everyone in one way or another makes you think anything is possible. Of course not all guys would like this book, but there are a few.
But what originally attracted me to the book was that I was in the nearest place with a bookstore, and I thought their was nothing to read there; then I saw the cover of Shadow Kiss and I thought wow, the name sounds… well boring but the cover looks cool! You see that's how I pick books; I look at the front cover. It's probably not the best way, and not reading the back until after I buy it sure isn't smart but I haven't got a bad book so far.
Anyway, Shadow Kiss was the first book I read of Vampire Academy, even though it's the third book, after that I couldn't put it down. The words sort of drew me to read more and more, and if I had to pick the book that helps me through rough times it would be Shadow Kiss all the way.
I have already suggested the book to a couple people, and I'm trying to get my book back from Ethan's mom, I'm going on four months without the first book and I really want it back. But I think that this book will be a favorite of mine for a long time.
So, yeah, that's about all I could say about it. The books just so amazing that there are no words to describe it perfectly! So you'll just have to see for yourself. Oh, and the book also made me fall in love with Russia, I still love the U.S.A. but I plan to travel to Russia one day. J
Aly your forgetting one important saying: never judge a book by its cover.
