My Town

By Yareli

The bad things about my town are that it doesn't have stores to shopping. And also there's no that much restaurants in my town. And also people are gossip and rumors spread around the town.

Some of the good reasons about my town is that is a calm town. And also everybody knows everybody. Another reason is that is a small town there are no gangs or killing. Also you could walk around with your friends without worrying that something is going to happened to you or to your friends.

THE FALLEN

By Aly

It was a cold day, no sun was shining through. Death was all around, and I was staring my own killer in the face. He and I were both angels, but different kinds. He was a White Angel, and I was a death angel. We both did jobs that helped one another, but did that stop our two races from hating each other? No.

It would kill off one of our races in the end. But did anyone really care? No, they just thought: 'It's them, or us.' And I agreed that both races hated each other for some good reasons, but not everyone is like how they think we are.

White angels aren't all snobby, and they aren't all high end. In fact some white angels is so nice and sweet that they would try and fight for the love that they knew use to be in our races. And all Death angels aren't all mean, they just have a job that has to do with death; it's how we make ends meet.

No one would listen to logic though, not until it was proven. I already knew my fate, my fate was to try and save both of our races. "Is this what you really want?" I asked, almost inaudibly.

The white angel looked at me as if I were crazy. "Our kinds were meant to hate each other." He said harshly.

I shook my head 'no' "It isn't, and you know it. We use to be brethren angels! But now… Now we kill because of something that happened over 100 years ago." I stated, like it was the most obvious thing in the world, but in my mind it was.

"How can you say that? Both of our communities are built up on us hating each other. It's been that way for a long time." He said matching my own attitude.

"Yes but if we keep fighting, it will be the end."

"What is born must die sometime." He countered my words. "I grow tired of this banter." He said carelessly, he raised his sword and swung. It stopped a inch from my neck, like a force field was there protecting me.

"Stop!" said a thunderous voice; a crying angel was coming down; out of the clouds. He had a tear on his cheek, forever therein their race. "This boy has showed love and compassion for all of the people. Doesn't he deserve a little kindness?" The angel asked.

His magnificent white wings stretched out. He looked gracefully upon both of us. He seemed to own a heir of command that told you, if you don't listen you're going to be in trouble.

I looked down; my parents were dead from the war. And I was the last of my family. I wouldn't really mind if I died today, tomorrow, or whenever. Because life is life, I can't choose when to live and when to die, but I can choose that while I live it's going to be the fullest.

The crying angel came up to me, and looked me over, scrutinizing every part of my being. "I am no angel that deserves kindness… This is what I believe is right, and I think he should be able to choose who deserves kindness in his own eyes." I said, I was speaking normally.

The White angel shrugged and brought up his sword, I looked up at him. We locked gazes, and he saw what he was about to do was wrong. I couldn't blame him if he killed me, but now I think of what he said to me earlier that day. "What was born must die."

Our kind lived peacefully after that confrontation, but we still have some hostility towards each other, but mostly those are the ones that can't handle change. That war was born, and then it died. It went with all of what was supposed to be. And I'm glad. And personally I think before that day, we should have been known as the Fallen angels.

Chad’s Thoughts

What does the phrase, "There are two sides to a coin" mean to you?

"There is more than the eye can see" is the same thing. Basically, it means everything has pros and cons. Like If you put cheats on a video game, there's always a catch. Like they decrease your points or something. Or like when you cheat in a card game, and it turns out that old card is just what you needed.

My Field Trip Idea

By Nora

I think field trips are very important to have in schools. It gives a chance for the students to explore new things with their school friends. But sometimes there are field trips that are just for fun, and not about learning…And those are my favorite.

If I were to choose where to go on a field trip, I would definitely choose a place where kids can have fun. An amusement park, a swimming pool, camping, and going to the beach are all great ideas in my opinion. But the idea I choose would definitely be the best field trip my friends from class have ever been on.

My idea for a field trip would be to go to Pismo Beach. Pismo Beach is a very cool place because there are sand dunes by the water that you can ride quads and other vehicles on. We would all meet at school, and take two vans there. We would bring a very big tent that could fit everyone inside and put it on the dunes. We would stay maybe one or two nights if the weather is nice and swim and party during the day, and party next to a fire with music at night. It would be a very, very fun time for sure.

If that idea isn't possible, I would choose a much simpler one. I would want to go to the
Hot
Springs. The Hot Springs is a very fun swimming pool that I love to go to. It has warm water and a very hot, hot, hot hottub. In the pool, there's this fountain thing that shoots water from water spouts and it's very fun to go under. I'm sure my class would have a great time there. And if that's not enough, either before or after we swim, we could go into town and eat at McDonald's or maybe even go watch a movie. Mr. Heist said it might be possible if Mrs. G. approves, which would be absolutly awesome. We would come to school and take two vans, since our class is so small. I'm very sure that it would be an amazing time…For me anyways.

If my field trip fantasies could come true, I would be the happiest person in the world. (That's kind of a dramatization, but still.) I hope at least my idea for going to the Hot Springs can come true.

My Opinions about My Town

By Nefertity

I think that this is a great town. I like the people, the stores, and I like that you could be walking in the streets without being afraid that someone would come out of nowhere and hurt you. The town is small, so I know mostly everyone that lives here. It's also good that I can know every store and know all the routes and the shortcuts. Living here for most of my life has been a great experience.

My town is an awesome town but there are
some things that are bad about this town. One thing is that it's kind of small; since it's small we can't really have any fun things like a theater, mall, or more variety of stores. Another bad thing is that we don't really meet new people, unless we talk to the tourists passing through on their way to other places. This town is fun even without a bunch of fun places to go to.

Families

By Emma

I think that families are very important. They are always there for you. When you are sad they always try to cheer you up. And when you don't feel good they take care of you and get you food or something even if they usually won't when you're not sick. When you're bored they usually will play with you and make you not bored. I love my family and I am so happy I'm not an only child because that would suck. Families are very important to me.

My own design house

By Dylan

My house would be five acres long and three- story house with a basement. In the back yard, there would be an Olympic sized swimming pool, got-cart racing track, game lounge; flat hotel for gust and people to stay over, and the last thing would be a huge port for plans and garages for cars. This house would be located in Organ or Canada. Inside the house, there would be five bedrooms, six bathrooms, one kitchen on the first flour, a playroom, pantry, and hot floors. There would be more items and rooms in the house but I do not want to have a five-page list. The front of the hose would have a river, and plant like a usual house. The color of the house would be a mocha coffee color. These would be my design for my own house.

Darkness

by aly

What would it be like to live in darkness? Would it be peaceful, loving, quiet, scary, evil, or something else? Well this one boy only see's darkness. Not in the way you may think though…

~~**~~**~~**~~

I woke up, nothing seemed different. Everything was in color, but when I walked out and saw my mother I knew something was wrong. I ignored it though, and headed off for school. I was walking with my best friend who was a orphan. Her name was Amile, she had brown hair and eyes. She always wore rags. "Hello," She said in that monotone voice of hers. She used it only when she was sad.
Again I ignored it. 'If she needed help' I thought 'she would ask.' We got to school and learned all types of stuff but I don't think I learned as much in school as when I got home.
I saw blood, red blood dripping down from the ceiling. It dripped onto my nose, and wiped it off. I slowly went up stairs and saw my mother. She was laying face down on the bed, a gun in her hand. She was dead. I saw a letter in front of her. And it read

"I won't live without my soul mate by my side."

Is all it said, I called the police to come get the body. Everything seemed dull, like nothing, especially me wasn't there. They came and took the body. I found a letter, it had said my father died in the war.
I didn't cry that day, nor will I ever. I tried being the best I could be but it seemed like it didn't work. As I grew older my feelings and self grew colder… Nothing seemed real anymore. It never would, not anymore.

And the first time I got jailed, I thought 'it's about time.'

I was tired of fighting for life, it came easy to others, but to me it was a pain. I got in my first fight in jail and everything seemed to move slowly, I punched the guy, he punched back it was a endless cycle. But in the end it was I who won the fight and he who won the world. He had something to love, something to lose and for that I think him lucky.

He didn't know what he had though and until this I never knew why I was always sad. And I would always be sad until the day I died.

What if the Bible is True?

By Jonathan k

If the bible is true what would that mean for you? Would you be haunted by the fact that demons are real? Would you not go to heaven when the antichrist tries to take over the world? Would you be in a safe place when the antichrist kills millions for not worshiping him would God be protecting you? He will if you're a Christian. Will you be on Earth when the oceans become blood red and the world's water supply goes bad? Will you be with your pet dog, cat, bird, or gerble? Will you be in a place where you will know what your pet is saying? Will you be in a place where all the food is zero calories and you can eat a 30-pound chocolate cake and not gain a single pound? (I'm looking forward to that part! ☺) Will you be in a place where there is no death, no pain, and no suffering? Where the streets are paved with gold? (I would run out of time if I got to into that.) Or will you be in a place where Armageddon is taking place? Where things that no one can explain are happening? (AND I DO NOT MEAN THAT IN A GOOD WAY!!!)

Where creatures no one believed are real are causing the deaths of millions?

Will you go to Hell? Will you be in pain for the rest of eternity? Or will you be with Jesus Christ? (When I was little I thought Christ was Jesus' last name☺)

If you have any sanity or self esteem you'll want to be with God.

(Did you know that dog the bounty hunter is a Christian?)

(Did you know that dog is God spelled backwards?)

Good and Bad

By Nefertity

"There are two sides to a coin", to me that means that everything that happens has a good side and a bad side to it. One time this phrase would be used well is if you do better than everyone on a quiz or test, the bad side would be everybody calling you a nerd and the good side would be you getting the best grade in the class! Everybody has a different opinion of which is the good side and which is the bad side to the problem. Another time would be when you go shopping, if you're a little kid and you can't find any clothes that fit in the children's' section, you'll have to go shop in the juniors section from then on. For anybody that could be either good or bad, some people like growing up but some people would much rather stay little. "Two sides on every coin" or "Two perspectives to everything that happens", they mean the same thing to me.
