My nickname is Manzanita, which in English means apple. At first only my sister called me Manzanita but then she started to call me that at school. People that speak Spanish knew that that meant apple, but the ones that talked English didn't know what that meant. People started to ask what Manzanita meant so we would tell them that it meant apple. After a while people started to call me apple too. So now some people call me Apple and some people call Manzanita. I don't really have a favorite they both mean the same thing so it is whatever to me.
I think it is pretty cool that my nickname is Manzanita because when my mom was younger her nickname was Manzanita too. When my godmother came down she always would call my mom Manzana because Manzanita is for a child not an adult. My godmother is my mom's sister so it was cool to see that when I get older my sister might call me Manzana. The reason my nickname is Manzanita/Apple is because usually when I get embarrassed I turn red kind of like an apple. It is also funny because when they call me that I also turn red! I like my nickname and hope to keep it for a long time.
Nice writing. But I've found a few mistakes.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure Manzanita means Apple in English? Seems like it should say its in Spanish. Also, you should of said Aunt instead of Godmother.
