Nickname

By Katie

I would like my nickname to be Kit Kat. I want Kit Kat to be my nickname because that's what my best friend from my school in Lancaster used to call me. The name Kit Kat comes from the K in my name. When she thought about the K in my name she thought, oh Kit Kat is a good name for Katie. So the next day at school she told me about the nickname. She told me how she thought of it and then we told everyone else and they all started to call me Kit Kat too. Then we all started to think of nicknames for each other.

I like this nickname cause it is funny and fun to say. My friends thought it was a good nickname for me. I think so too. But when I came up here to lo-Inyo I wasn't called Kit Kat anymore. Know I am transferring back down to Lancaster and they will probably call me Kit Kat still. That is okay with me. We never did think of nicknames for them but that was okay they still clled me Kit Kat.

Nickname

By Angela

My nickname is Manzanita, which in English means apple. At first only my sister called me Manzanita but then she started to call me that at school. People that speak Spanish knew that that meant apple, but the ones that talked English didn't know what that meant. People started to ask what Manzanita meant so we would tell them that it meant apple. After a while people started to call me apple too. So now some people call me Apple and some people call Manzanita. I don't really have a favorite they both mean the same thing so it is whatever to me.

I think it is pretty cool that my nickname is Manzanita because when my mom was younger her nickname was Manzanita too. When my godmother came down she always would call my mom Manzana because Manzanita is for a child not an adult. My godmother is my mom's sister so it was cool to see that when I get older my sister might call me Manzana. The reason my nickname is Manzanita/Apple is because usually when I get embarrassed I turn red kind of like an apple. It is also funny because when they call me that I also turn red! I like my nickname and hope to keep it for a long time.

Tiny

By Isai

I wish my nickname was Tiny. Tiny was all Andy's idea like three or four months ago. Once Juan, Andy, Alec, Milton, Michelle, Cash, and Greg came out of fourth period. They all had nicknames like Chipotle Buns. Andy said I was giganto be Tiny and Jacob be Big Carl. So, we could have a big guy with a small name and a small guy with a big name. We only used the nickname for one day.

I like Tiny because I think it is funny because I'm big. Tiny sounds more like a nickname for a little guy. Tiny is like the complete opposite of me. And that's why I wish my nickname was Tiny!

Nicknames

My nickname is Izzy. Some of my friends call me Izzy because my middle name is Israel so for short they call me Izzy. I got my nickname at school. One day I told my friend Angela my middle name and she told me it would be cool if my nickname was Izzy and I thought it was a great idea so I kept it.

I've had the nickname since I first came to this school. I like the nickname because I have never met someone named Izzy. So it is a new thing. I've had many other nicknames but Izzy is the only one I've liked so far. Ill probably have many other nicknames in my life time but I want to have izzy.

Aly’s Ideas…

By Aly

My nickname is Wolfy, and I have a pretty good understanding of this. So I am going to explain… When my father was is the Navy, and he was docked, he and his friends would go out drinking. Well he normally kept his temper; unless it was a full-moon. It turns out that if he went drinking on full-moons he would get in trouble with the law, and every time he would get escorted back to the boat. So finally his buddies gave him the nickname, Wolf. He tried to stay out of bars on full moons by trading shifts with other people on the ship, and he did pretty well at that. But he still got in trouble on full-moons occasionally.

How I got the nickname is sort of the same. No, I was never in the navy, but I do tend to get more daring and wilder near full-moons. If it is a full-moon, and you hang around me at night, you would see that I am not exaggerating. I tend to go around running and jumping off of things, I also have had anger issues on full moons, like my dad, and I've gotten into a couple fights as well, even though I never started them, my dad said he would ground me for like a month! So I guess you could say; I'm following in my fathers footsteps, even though I don't even notice. I also do try to control myself during full moons, but like I said before, I sometimes don't notice. So that's why my nickname is Wolfy. It's not a good nickname, but I like it.

My Nickname’s

By Nefer

One of my nicknames is Nefart. A lot of people call me that because last year I used to fart a lot.Last year I didn't really care where and when I farted. I just farted anywhere and tried to blame it on someone, but everyone knew it was me. I think that the first person to call me Nefart was Daisie. Then one day when Magie went to our house, Daisie told her to call me Nefart, then Magie called me that in school, and everyone else started calling me that! In sixth grade, last year, I kind of liked the nickname. Now this year I don't really fart that much, or if I do I wait until I go outside or go to the bathroom. So, I think I need a new nickname for school!

One of the nicknames I usually hear people call me is Nefer. That's just short for my whole name Nefertity. Everyone calls me that, friends, teachers, and my family. I like Nefer better than Nefertity because its shorter and doesn't sound so Egyptian. Nefer is my favorite nickname out of all the ones I have.!

Nickname!!

By Lupita J

My nickname is Pita, my closest family and friends call me this. They got it from my name Lupita. I like it because it's not like an embarrassing name or anything its normal I guess.

I've had my nickname since is I was about four or five. Really I've had more than one but Pita has stuck more than any of the other ones. Before the other ones would only last a week or two then it would go back to Pita. For example my nephews call me Pita for two reasons. One is because that's what they all hear when they are around me. The other reason is because the two twins have problems with their mouths. My friends like Angela and Magie call me Pita. I love this nickname and hope that I have it forever.

Jonathan’s Thoughts…

By Jonathan

My big brother Ethan made up a nick name for me that I hate. He made up the nick name Juggy (joogy). It sounds like he thinks I'm three or something. But he calls me that just to bug me. I swear he's trying to drive me insane or something. Another one he made up was Jiggyjon. This sounds like a bad Japanese cartoon. He probably calls me that because I jiggle. But I actually have no idea how he came up with those nick names.

I don't know what nick name I want but I want a nick name that doesn't sound weird. I want a nick name that sounds like one that doesn't make people think I'm three.

One that doesn't sound like something you'd name you pet cat or Chihuahua. Or a Pomeranian that won't stop jumping at your door! I don't want a nick name that doesn't have an oo sound in it. I hate the nick name Juggy! If I had a Chihuahua I'd name it that but I don't!

Dylan’s Nicknames

By Dylan

My nickname is DJ. I had this nickname for a few years. It comes from my first and middle name. The j comes from James. The d comes from Dylan. I also had another nickname except I had people stop calling me that name. After that, almost every called me DJ.

I fell great about having this name. I wish for it to sty with me most of my life. If I did not have my first or last name, I do not a nickname would be. I like it and I do not know who called me by it first. I think it is great for my family to call me by that nickname because I get tired of them calling me Dylan all the time. I would be like driving to town every day and never ever walking.

The Wrong House

By Nora

Once, there was a boy named Bob, and a girl named Lucy. They went to the same school, and had the same classes. They both secretly had a crush on each other, and they both didn't know that the other liked them. So they both decided that this Valentine's Day, they would make a move on the other. Bob's plan was to give her the most magnificent Valentine's Day card in the history of cards. Lucy's plan was to use her best flirty looks and moves and unleash all her powers on him. She thought that if she used all of her expertise, she'd be able to seduce him. So on the morning before Valentine's Day, (which was a school day) Bob finished his card and put it in a very cute envelope. He thought about it all night if he should put anonymous and just give her clues that it was him, or just put his name and get it over with. After a while of thinking, he decided to just put his name on it. He gave the card a goodbye kiss and put it in her mail box. He was so ecstatic about how he just succeeded, that he recited the poem he put on the card over and over and over again. When he got to school, he noticed that Lucy was looking especially HOT
today. He also noticed that she looked at him and talked to him a lot more than usual. He stayed smooth and tried to flirt whenever he had the chance. Lucy liked his reaction and continued to be as sensual as possible. They both left school on a very good note. The next morning, which was Valentine's Day, Bob remembered the card he sent to Lucy and got really excited again. When he arrived at school, he went straight to Lucy and said, "Did you get a Valentine's
card?" Then, she said, "No, why?" Then he said, "Oh, well never mind." Bob got really embarrassed and very worried at he same time. The first thing that came to his mind was, "Uh-oh, wrong house." Then, he got a shot of bravery, and thought, well, since I memorized the poem, I might as well tell it to her now. So at lunch he pulled her aside and told it to her. And she was so flattered and happy, she gave him a kiss…on the lips. And they lived happily ever after.
